Synopsis:
A young girl Kajol (Karishma Kapoor)
born to a wealthy family finds herself
in love with a young boy Suraj (Arshad
Warsi). Sujal comes from the other
side of the tracks and is a hard working
person with little money but plenty
of love for Kajol. However things
take a twist for the worst when Kajol’s
Family arrange for her marriage to
her fathers business partners son,
Sunil. Loves course then takes another
dramatic turn when Sunil discovers
Kajol’s relationship with Suraj
and then plots against him with harrowing
consequences.
All attempts by Kajol to help Suraj
out of his plight prove fruitless
as Sunil manipulates the courts and
helps falsify witness statements.
Fortunately for Kajol a kind hearted
Lawyer suggests to her to seek the
help of a legendary Lawyer called
“Shivshankar”(Amitabh
Bachchan). However Kajol learns that
although Shivshankar is possibly the
only person who can help her and Suraj
he is now retired and no longer practices
law following a car explosion which
has left him blind.
Kajol’s love for Suraj is too
strong for her to leave it at that
and so she pursues the aid of Shivshankar
to extreme lengths. Finally after
meeting him and being left with a
not so pleasant impression Kajol labels
Shivshankar cold hearted and loveless
to which Shivshankar then narrates
his own tale of love and heartbreak.
What follows is the imminent execution
of Suraj for a crime he did not commit.
A heart broken and ravaged Kajol fearing
the death of her one true love. All
that is left is the glimmer of hope,
the hope of the help from the renowned
Lawyer known as Shivshankar.
Does Shivshankar come out of retirement
to help a cause of true love, injustice
and service to humanity? Will he come
to aid of Kajol and help free Suraj
from a public hanging…………Find
